How to Repair Damaged BKF File Guidelines:
The BKF file repair process using our BKF Repair software is very simple. Just follow the steps given below.
Go to Start > Programs > SysTools BKF Repair
Open the software, you will see its start-up screen:
Click on the “Load” button present on the toolbar. This will help in the opening and loading of the BKF files as shown below:
After this, the loading process will be initiated by the software as shown below in the screenshot:
After loading of BKF files, following screen will be displayed:
Finally, click on the “Extract” button present on the toolbar of the above screenshot page to extract the required BKF files and folders from corrupted backup. As you click this button, software will ask you the location where to save these files:
You can browse the location and select yourself where you want to extract or save the recovered BKF files. After that, the software will start saving the recovered files and folders.
How to load another BKF file?
After you are done with the BKF file repair process and you wish to repair some other corrupt BKF file, you again need not start from the first step. Go to the page as shown in the screenshot below, choose the BKF file from the left tree-like structure, right click and choose the option ‘Close Backup File’. After the software closes the backup file, click on the Load button and load another file.
In the updated version 5.2 of SysTools BKF Repair software, a new feature has been added. It is of "Partial Scan". This feature is helpful to you while recovering data from large BKF files. With the help of this feature, you will be able to extract only some percentage of data rather than recovering complete data from the large BKF file that wastes your time. You can quickly do partial scan if you want to extract only a small portion of data from any large sized BKF file.
For performing Partial Scan function, click on the “Actions” menu and select "Partial Scan" option from the drop down menu as shown below:
As you click on the Partial Scan option, you will see the following window:
Enter a value in the above window.
What is this value? This value is basically the percentage of data that will be extracted from the selected large sized BKF file. (For example – if you enter the value as “25”, then the software will recover 25% of data from the selected BKF file.
After Partial Scan completes, you can preview the selected files as shown below.
